RatBird Iteration2


Rat Bird Iteration 2 - after feedback I added eye geometry, re worked the silhouette, and played with proportions overall, did a second pass on UV's.

Next I will do another pass on textures and set up a scene in UDK where Rat Bird will live. Presentation wise I will show my maps, a mesh render, and a screen grab of the UDK scene.

Piece 2



I began blocking out my next portfolio piece and threw them in UDK. Next step is doing paint overs of this stuff to liven up the dead spaces and begin to think out my colors.

Furry Bird

Furry Bird - Made some fur that I liked, I was not able to figure out how map colors to the fur.

Textured that bad boy, I then masked out the colors and added color adjustment / saturation layers ( still tweaking those fellas.

Rat Bird In Maya



I moved into maya and blocked out the shape of  Rat Bird, I then went back and Retopologized him (it?) I created feathers and placed those, and extruded out planes from existing edges and manipulated them back to use as cones for smaller feathers.

-Edit I am now going back to add geometry for the eyes. and clean up the small feather planes.
